Hello and welcome to another Blog from Globe Apartments.

This week we are continuing on from last week by highlighting some of Waggas cultural institutions, which would be great to visit whilst staying with us at the Globe.  Last week we looked at the Museum of the Riverina, this week we will look at the Art Gallery and the Civic Theatre.

Wagga Art Gallery.

The Wagga Art Gallery is just a short 10 minute walk from the Globe. Head North on Peter St until it ends, then turn right on Morrow st until you come to the Art Gallery in the Civic Precinct.

The Gallery has many travelling shows like the Archibald Prize, but also many smaller local shows where the distinct culture and atmosphere of our country area are depicted by local artists. The Gallery also plays host the National Art Glass Gallery which is located in an equally fantastic building!  A must visit when you are staying with us.

The Wagga Civic Theatre

If you’re looking to add some sophistication and entertainment to your stay at Globe, look no further that Waggas Civic Theatre. The Theatre boasts a 450 seat capacity and big name productions from Sydney Theatre Company right down to local productions.  Current shows include Bell Shakespeare Merchant of Venins, Sydney Comedy Festival and  the Beach Boys to name a few.  The theatre is located in the Civic Precinct, just a short 10 minute walk from your apartment.
